SERVICES
The service and hospitality is always a dealbreaker for me. I initially booked my stay via Agoda and unfortunately there was some kind of mixed up with the type of room selected. The hotel was kind enough to offer us a free complimentary upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom suite. YAY!
Not even a few minutes after settling down, the concierge called us to make sure the room is up to our standards. It’s little gestures like this that made our stay pleasant!
Also, due to the new norm thanks to Rona, few of the facilities require booking beforehand. For example, you can pre-book your pool visits and are given 45 minute slot. It’s great to know that the hotel keeps your safety and wellbeing at heart.
Lo and behold, the cafe down below, ALLO by The Owls Cafe have finally opened it’s doors, where they will be serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service to the guests in a new all day dining experience!
Guests also get exclusive access to the picturesque facilities — break a sweat at the très chic black and gold interior Sky Gym, go for a swim at the illusionist beach, the Mosaic Pool — or simply pose for the gram!
ROOMS
AMI Suites are super generous with their space. Looking at the photos above, you can see that the living area and bedroom are separated by a curtain. The studio and one bedroom suite sleeps 2 to 3 pax comfortably. Although you only get a tv in the living area, but that just means a better night sleep right?!
Each room is equipped with basic amenities, just like home away from home. Kitchenettes are available for your light cooking, as long as you don’t throw any crazy Christmas party!
Forgot to pack something? AMI’s got you covered! With a Borrows List where you can loan a phone charger, wine opener, adapter, umbrella and much more!
The suites also come with handy iron and ironing board in the closet.
There are also light refreshments served in the room, with the usual coffee, tea and light snacks.
The bathroom is snug and cosy — and gets the job done! Water heater? No worries, checked! Water is also clear with no funky smell, I’m a happy camper!
HYGIENE/CLEANLINESS
Overall, the hotel is very well managed. Though I did spot a strand of hair which wasn’t mine on the carpet upon checking in, but honestly, that’s about it.
I am very pleased with how AMI is keeping tidy of their spaces.
